The Goring and Streatley Concert Band is a friendly community band of around 55 woodwind, brass and percussion players of a wide range of ages and abilities. We perform several concerts a year, including formal Spring and Christmas concerts, as well as outdoor concerts at venues such as Wallingford Castle and Henley Bandstand.

Goring and Streatley Concert Band members meet to rehearse at the Goring Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:45pm.

Goring and Streatley Starter Band:

We also have a starter band for those young in age and/or young at heart who are looking to gain (or develop) experience of playing in a group. The starter band is led by Claire Salmon, and currently has around 40 regular players. New members are always welcome and we meet in the Goring Community Centre from 6:30pm to 7.30pm on Monday evenings during term time. More information on the starter band can be found here.

The Starter Band are getting ready for their 70s night on Saturday 24th September in Goring Village Hall. Tickets will be on sale from early September.

Our summer engagements continue and we're looking forward next to appearing at the Goring Lock with tea and cakes provided by the ladies from Cleeve WI on Sunday 21st August. More information about this and our other future engagements can be found on our Concert Dates page here.
