The Goring and Streatley Concert Band is a friendly community band of around 55 woodwind, brass and percussion players of a wide range of ages and abilities. We perform several concerts a year, including formal Spring and Christmas concerts, as well as outdoor concerts at venues such as Wallingford Castle and Henley Bandstand.

Goring and Streatley Concert Band members meet to rehearse at the Goring Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:45pm.

Goring and Streatley Starter Band:

We also have a starter band for those young in age and/or young at heart who are looking to gain (or develop) experience of playing in a group. The starter band is led by Claire Salmon, and currently has around 40 regular players. New members are always welcome and we meet in the Goring Community Centre from 6:30pm to 7.30pm on Monday evenings during term time. More information on the starter band can be found here.

The band is busy rehearsing for our 2017 season which begins on Monday 1st May with South Stoke May Fayre. This is followed by our Spring Concert featuring both main band and Starter Band who will play pieces separately and a few together with over 100 musicians on stage! This is on Sat 6th May at Benson Parish Hall. Ticket information will be here soon. Information on all of our planned engagements for 2017 can be found on our Concert Dates page. > here.
