The Goring and Streatley Concert Band is a friendly community band of around 55 woodwind, brass and percussion players of a wide range of ages and abilities. We perform several concerts a year, including formal Spring and Christmas concerts, as well as outdoor concerts at venues such as Wallingford Castle and Henley Bandstand.

Goring and Streatley Concert Band members meet to rehearse at the Goring Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:45pm.

Goring and Streatley Starter Band:

We also have a starter band for those young in age and/or young at heart who are looking to gain (or develop) experience of playing in a group. The starter band is led by Claire Salmon, and currently has around 40 regular players. New members are always welcome and we meet in the Goring Community Centre from 6:30pm to 7.30pm on Monday evenings during term time. More information on the starter band can be found here.

The Christmas Concert on Sat 17th Dec in Goring Village Hall was a sell out! The Starter Band played a very lively programme in the first half and the main band played a varied selection of pieces in the second half. The band has just one more engagement for 2016 at the Torchlight Procession on Christmas Eve. Information on our planned engagements for 2017 can be found on our Concert Dates page. > here.

Happy Christmas and New Year to all!
